The Colorado Performance-Based Pay System Amendment
did not make the 2012 ballot
in the state of Colorado
as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment
. The measure, introduced during 2012 state legislative session
would have replaced performance-based pay system with system based on both performance and length of service.
The proposal was a "companion piece of legislation" to a measure dealing with the state personnel system, according to reports. The formal title of the measure was House Bill 1321.
Path to the ballot
Two-thirds of each chamber of the Colorado General Assembly must vote affirmatively for a proposed amendment in order for it to go on the statewide ballot for potential voter ratification.
