The city of Corpus Christi, Texas will hold nonpartisan elections for mayor and city council on November 4, 2014. The candidate filing deadline was August 18, 2014. Eight council seats - three at-large and districts one through five - are up for election.

Incumbents are running for reelection in the mayoral and at-large races and in districts 1, 4 and 5. These include Mayor Nelda Martinez, at large representatives Lillian Riojas and Mark Scott, District 1 representative Kelley Allen, District 4 representative, Colleen McIntyre and District 5 representative Rudy Garza.

Garza is running unopposed in District 5. Districts 2 and 3 are open seats.

Jobs and urban infrastructure are some of the key issues shaping Corpus Christi's 2014 election cycle.
