OMAHA, Nebraska: There are 26 total standing committees in Nebraska state government. That is the 7th fewest committees among the 50 states, according to a Ballotpedia study of state legislatures and their committees.

  • On the 26 committees in Nebraska there are a total of 108 members -- meaning a committee's average size is 4.15 legislators. With 2.2 committees per legislator slots, Nebraska has the 6th lowest ratio among the 50 states.
