County, City & Village Electrical Aggregation Questions, 7 (March 2012)
Five of these measures were approved, Poplar Grove and unincorporated Boone County voted against aggregation.
These measures sought to allow officials to buy electricity in bulk in order to obtain lower rates for residents who want to participate in the program. Those areas with this measure on their ballot include Boone County, the cities of Belvidere and Loves Park as well as the villages of Timberlane, Caledonia, Cherry Valley and Poplar Grove.
