Craig Fleener is a 2014 independent candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Alaska.[1] His running mate is gubernatorial candidate Bill Walker. Walker selected Fleener to join his ticket as a candidate for lieutenant governor in October 2013, and Fleener resigned from his post as Deputy Commissioner of Fish and Game in order to enter the race.[2]

By running as independents, Fleener and Walker, who is a registered Republican, will avoid having to run in the primary election against current Governor Sean Parnell.[3]
