There was a Damascus Charter Amendment for Intergovernmental Approval measure on the March 9 ballot in Clackamas County for voters in the city of Damascus.

This measure was defeated

  • YES 1,373 (44.38%)
  • NO 1,721 (55.62%)Defeatedd[1]

This measure sought to change the city charter so that there would have been a need to get voter approval if there was to be intergovernmental agreements made. If this had passed, then any previous agreements made will have to go to a citizen vote.[2]
