Dan Cramer was a 2014 Democratic candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent the 7th Congressional District of Tennessee.[1] Cramer defeated Credo Amouzouvik in the Democratic primary. He was defeated by incumbent Marsha Blackburn (R) in the general election on November 4, 2014.[2]

Biography

In 1987, Cramer earned an A.A. from Northwestern State University of Louisiana. He earned a B.S. in aviation from Thomas Edison State College in 1996 and a M.S. in technology management from Murray State University in 1997. He went on to earn a second B.S. in engineering technology from Austin Peay State University in 2005.[3]

Cramer served in the United States Army for 26 years. He worked as an Army warrant officer, Chinook helicopter pilot.[3]

Cramer submitted the following statement to Ballotpedia:

The current politics of partisanship and obstruction are destroying the American dream for too many Tennesseans. I want to play an active role in making our community, state and country a place where every Tennessean can provide for themselves and their families and where the American dream of giving our children better opportunities than we had ourselves is within every American's reach.[4]

Cramer ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent Tennessee's 7th District. Cramer defeated Credo Amouzouvik in the Democratic primary. He was defeated by incumbent Marsha Blackburn (R) in the general election on November 4, 2014.[2]
