Dan Moody is a former Republican member of the Georgia State Senate, representing District 56 from 2003 to 2011. Moody did not seek re-election in 2010.

Moody was Precinct Chair for the Republican Party and a delegate to the State Republican Convention and the District Republican Convention.


Moody's professional experience includes working as a process engineer and owning a business. He served as a Captain in the United States Army Reserves.

On November 4, 2008, Moody won re-election to the Georgia Senate from Georgia's 56th Senate District. Moody received 44,810 votes in the election, defeating Akhtar Sadiq (D), who received 22,296 votes.[1]
