A Dane County Collective Bargaining Advisory Referendum measure was on the April 3, 2012 ballot in Dane County.

This question was just advisory and asked residents if they thought that public workers should have more collective bargaining rights. The Wisconsin government had limited the bargaining rights of public workers and Dane county officials saw this as a way for residents to show their support for those workers and have their voices heard on the issue.[2]
