Darrell Solberg (b. February 14, 1942) is a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 11 of the South Dakota House of Representatives.[1]

Solberg was a Democratic member of the South Dakota House of Representatives, representing District 11.

Biography

Solberg worked in Regional Sales for Park Broadcasting from 1969 to 1974. He then worked as Regional Manager for Cargill Incorporated from 1974 to 1976. From 1976 to 1982, he was manager of Southern Minnesota Broadcasting. He has been the President of Drillstring Dynamics Sensor Sales and Marketing since 1983.

Solberg joined the South Dakota State House of Representatives in 2009. He served in that position until 2011, representing the 11th District. Solberg is divorced and has two children.

Elections for the office of South Dakota House of Representatives will take place in 2014. A primary election took place June 3, 2014. The general election will be held on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 25, 2014. James Larson and Darrell Solberg were unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Jim Stalzer and Mark Willadsen defeated David Landry in the Republican primary. Larson will face Solberg, Stalzer and Willadsen in the general election.[1][2]

Solberg ran for re-election to one of two seats in District 11 of the South Dakota House of Representatives. Solberg was defeated by Mark Willadsen (R) and Lora Hubbel (R).[3]
