Strohmaier has served as a Missoula city councilman.

Biography

Strohmaier earned his bachelor's degree in Religion from Seattle Pacific University and master's degrees in theology from Yale Divinity School and in fire ecology and writing from the University of Montana. His professional experience includes working at Historical Research, Associates, Inc., specializing in the history of the American West.[1]

Elections for the office of Montana House of Representatives will take place in 2014. A primary election took place June 3, 2014, and a general election will take place on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 10, 2014; minor party and independent candidates had until June 2, 2014, to file. Dave Strohmaier was unopposed in the Democratic primary. District 91 incumbent David Moore defeated Larry Dunham in the Republican primary. Incumbent Bryce Bennett (D) is running in District 91.[2]

Strohmaier ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Montana's at-large District. He faced Kim Gillan, Diane Smith, Jason Ward, Rob Stutz, Franke Wilmer and Sam Rankin in the Democratic primary on June 5, 2012. Strohmaier was defeated by Kim Gillan in the Democratic primary on June 5, 2012.[3][4]
