David T. Daniels (b. 1957 in Greenfield, OH) is the Ohio Director of Agriculture. He was first appointed by Governor John Kasich on February 15, 2012.[1] Prior to his appointment, Daniels served as a Republican member of the Ohio State Senate, representing District 17.

Biography

Before entering politics, he worked on and helped manage Daniels Brothers Farm with his father.

Daniels represented Ohio House of Representatives District 86 from 2003 to 2010. Daniels' political experience includes council member of Greenfield City Council; mayor of Greenfield City; and commissioner of Highland County. In 2010, Daniels was ineligible to run under Ohio's term limits.

Daniels is a farmer with Daniels Brothers Farm.

Daniels graduated from Laurel Oaks Farm Management Program. He is married and has four children.[2]

Daniels previously served as a Republican member of the Ohio State Senate, representing District 17. He was elected to the Ohio State Senate in 2010 and served until his resignation in February of 2012 when he was named to head the Ohio Department of Agriculture.[3]
