Issues

Campaign themes

Sartori's campaign website listed the following themes for the 2014 election:

Dave wants to be engaged and involved in our body politics. He is convinced that he can be a positive and constructive force for good. He has a passionate love for Wisconsin and our Wisconsin values. Dave is a true product the American Dream.

Dave is committed to returning the Treasurer’s position to that of honor and respect. He will work to restore the public school funding that supports our libraries and public K-12 funding. Although most of the functions of the Treasurer’s Office have been assigned to other agencies of state government, Dave will fight to return the municipal investment pool, 529 edvest program, and unclaimed property responsibilities. Dave will work with the National Association of State Treasurers (NAST) and the brightest brains of our universities to accomplish these goals. Why did these transfers (or raids) occur? Up until the current Treasurer took office, the Wisconsin Treasurer’s Office was a “cash cow.” Supporting itself on user fees and was self-supporting. The Office’s “profits” were donated to the Common School Fund (see Article X, Wisconsin Constitution).

Remember, elections have consequences. Wisconsin needs Dave Sartori – the adult, mature candidate for Wisconsin Treasurer! Invest in Wisconsin’s future, elect Dave Sartori.
