Morrow was defeated by incumbent trey Gowdy.[2] Morrow ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent South Carolina's 4th District. Morrow defeated Jimmy Tobias in the Democratic primary June 12. The general election was November 6, 2012. [3]

Twitter controversy

Morrow shut down her official campaign Twitter account after two tweets allegedly calling her opponent - incumbent Rep. Trey Gowdy (R) - a homosexual were leaked to local media. Gowdy spokesperson Josh Dix said he felt the tweet was an accident. Nonetheless, the account Morrow4Congress was deleted.
