Dennis Horlander (Democratic Party) was a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 40. He assumed office in 1997. He left office on December 31, 2018.

Horlander (Democratic Party) ran for election to the Kentucky House of Representatives to represent District 40. He lost in the Democratic primary on June 23, 2020.

When he served in the state House, Horlander's professional experience included working as a manufacturers' representative. Horlander was a member of the Barkley Democratic Club, Dixie Post 220, Harbor House Board, Hardware Retail Association, Manufacturers' Association, Marydale Club, Shively Area Business Association, Shively Council, and the Shively Democratic Club.[1]

Elections for the Kentucky House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 28, 2014. Incumbent Dennis L. Horlander ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Ronald Seiter ran unopposed in the Republican primary. Horlander defeated Seiter in the general election.[6][7][8]
