Doug Owens was a 2014 Democratic candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent the 4th Congressional District of Utah.[1] On April 26, 2014, he won the Democratic nomination during Utah's Democratic Convention with 98 percent of the vote.[2] Doug Owens lost the general election on November 4, 2014.


Owens graduated from the University of Utah in 1986. He went on to earn a law degree from Yale Law School in 1989. Owens currently works as an attorney.[3]

Owens ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent Utah's 4th District. On April 26, 2014, Owens won the Democratic nomination during Utah's Democratic Convention with 98 percent of the vote. Bill Peterson lost, receiving two percent of the vote.[2][1] Doug Owens lost the general election on November 4, 2014.
