There was a Drummond School/Library Tax Increase Measure on the February 9 ballot in Granite County for voters in the Drummond school district area.

This measure was approved

This measure sought to increase property taxes in the area by $5.64 on a $100,000 home in the area. The money generated from this tax will go towards the community library which serves the school. They plan to extend their hours, buy more books and equipment and upgrade existing technology in the library. The library is owned and operated by the Drummond school that resides across the street, it forged such a relationship in order to help itself stay open during hard times. Several other Montana libraries have forged similar relationships in order to help both school and library community.[1]
