Edward Lindsey
Edward Lindsey is a former Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 54 from 2005 to July 2, 2014. He resigned to join the Joint Study Committee on Critical Transportation Infrastructure Funding.[1]
Lindsey served as House majority whip from 2011 to 2014.
Lindsey ran for election to the U.S. House to represent 11th Congressional District of Georgia.[2] He was defeated in the Republican primary on May 20, 2014.[3]
Biography
Lindsey earned his B.A. in history from Davidson College in 1981 and his J.D. from Georgia Law School in 1984. His professional experience includes working as an attorney for Goodman McGuffey Lindsey & Johnson, LLP.[4]

Lindsey ran in the 2012 election for Georgia House of Representatives District 54. Lindsey ran unopposed in the Republican primary on July 31, 2012. Lynn Brown McKinney ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[6] Lindsey defeated Lynn Brown McKinney in the general election.[7]
2010
Lindsey ran for re-election to the 54th District seat in 2010. He had no opposition in the July 20 primary and no one filed to run against him in the general election. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[8]

In 2008, Lindsey was re-elected to the Georgia House of Representatives District 54. Lindsey (R) ran unopposed and finished with 18,957 votes.[9] Lindsey raised $28,225 for his campaign fund.[10]
