Elections
2012
Olson ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Washington's 2nd District.[3][4] He was defeated in the primary on August 7, 2012.[5]
In the 2nd District, Republican Dan Matthews was seen by some as presenting a serious threat to Democratic incumbent Rick Larsen.[6] An analyst, however, said, "There is no way a candidate like Larsen is going to lose in 2012."[7]
