Erich E. Ponti is a Republican member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, representing District 69. He was first elected to the chamber in 2007.

Biography

Ponti earned his B.S. in Construction Management from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. His professional experience includes working as a general contractor.[1]

Ponti ran for District 2 of the Louisiana Public Service Commission in 2012. He faced Scott Angelle (R), Erich Ponti (R), Sarah Holliday (R), Forest Wright (D), and Greg Gaubert (no party affiliation) in the blanket primary on November 6, 2012.[2] Angelle won the primary with more than the simply majority of the vote required to avoid a runoff.[3]
