There was a Fairwood Incorporation Measure on the November 3 ballot in King County for voters in the city of Fairwood.

This was the second attempt to incorporate Fairwood into the city of Renton, it failed again. The county has been pushing for unincorporated areas to either incorporate into neighboring cities or be annexed by those cities. Renton has a lot to offer, political representation and tax incentives are on the top of the list. If an agreement cannot be reached Renton can force Fairwood to incorporate by annexing it.[1]
