A Fall City Metropolitan Park District, Proposition 1 was on the February 3, 2009 ballot in King County, Washington for voters in the proposed Fall City Metropolitan Park District.

The King County Council passed Ordinance No. 16282 concerning a proposition to create the Fall City metropolitan park district. Since it was approved, this proposition will create a metropolitan park district encompassing portions of King County Fire Protection District No. 27 and various adjacent neighborhoods. The district will have all of the powers provided in chapter 35.61 RCW, including the authority to levy a general tax not to exceed $0.75 per $1,000 of assessed valuation on all property located in the district each year. The park district will be governed by a five-member board of commissioners to be elected at large.

Since this proposition was approved, a metropolitan park district will be created to manage, control, improve, maintain, and acquire parks, parkways, boulevards and recreation facilities. The district will be known as the Fall City Metropolitan Park District and will have the boundaries set forth in Attachment A to King County Ordinance No. 16282.
