senator for District 18 of the Tennessee State Senate
on November 22, 2010. He served in that capacity until the special election
held on March 8, 2011.
Haile's appointment was the result of the resignation of former Senator Diane Black
. Black resigned from her position as senator in late November, 2010 after she won the election for Congress
, representing Tennessee's 6th District.
Haile received his B.S.Ph. from the University of Tennessee Pharmacy School. He is a pharmacist, cattle farmer and co-owner of Perkins Drugs in Gallatin.
