Fife School District Replacement Levy, 2 (February 2010)

There were two Fife School District Levy measures on the February 9 ballot in King and Pierce Counties for voters in the Fife school district.

Both measures were approved in Pierce County
Proposition 1

  • YES 1,756 (67.18%)Approveda
  • NO 858 (32.82%)

Proposition 2

  • YES 1,754 (67.25%)Approveda
  • NO 854 (32.75%)[1]

The first measure sought to renew an existing levy that was set to expire in order to further funding educational programs and school operation costs in the district. The levy will be in place for a further four years and will be at a rate of $2.21 per $1,000 of assessed value.

The second measure sought to add an additional levy in the amount of $.28 for a further four years in order to help with technology upgrades and training for schools within the district. [2]
