Nashville, Tennessee: One state executive position, governor, is up for election in 2014 in the state of Tennessee.

The primary election is scheduled for August 7, 2014. Tennessee is one of 14 states that uses an open primary system, in which registered voters do not have to be members of a party to vote in that party's primary.[1][2][3]

A total of 18 candidates filed for the office - 4 Republicans, 7 Democrats, 1 Constitution Party, 1 Green Party, 1 Libertarian and 4 independents.
