Harrisburg, Pennsylvania: Two state executive positions are up for election in 2014 in the state of Pennsylvania: governor and lieutenant governor.

The primary election is scheduled for May 20, 2014. Pennsylvania is one of 12 states to use a strictly closed primary process. Voters are required to register with a political party to vote in the primary election.[1][2][3]

Both incumbents are seeking re-election. They are:


Yesterday, March 11, the filing period for major party primary candidates came to a close. The following list of candidates is current as of March 12, 2014.

A total of 15 candidates filed for the 2 offices - 3 Republicans and 12 Democrats.
