House Committees

The Finance Committee is a standing committee of the North Carolina State Senate.

Per Section 31 of the Senate Rules, committees of the North Carolina State Senate are assigned by the President Pro Tempore. The rules do not specify when or how often committees are assigned. The President Pro Tempore shall have the right and the authority to appoint the chair and vice-chair of each standing committee.[1] The President Pro Tempore and the Deputy President Pro Tempore shall serve as ex officio members of each standing committee and subcommittee.[2]
