Forsyth Township Police Levy Measures, 2 (May 2012)
The first measure sought to renew the current police property tax which is set at a rate of $1 per $1,000 of assessed value for a period of six years in order to continue to pay for operational costs of the police department in the township.
The second measure sought to increase the current police property tax by a rate of $1 per $1,000 of assessed value for a period of six years in order to further pay for operational costs of the police department in the township.

The question on the ballot:
| Proposition 1: "SHALL THERE BE a renewal of the millage for the purposes of operating a Police Department, against the total tax rate limitation, as provided for by Article 9, Section 6 of the Constitution of Michigan, and the total assessed against all property in Forsyth Township, Marquette County, Michigan by renewing $1,000 of State Equalized Valuation (1 mill) of all property in the Township for a period of six years, 2014 through 2019 inclusive, thereby raising in the first year an estimated $179,200.00.
Proposition 2: SHALL THERE BE, an increase of one (1) mill ($1,000.00), on the total amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property in Forsyth Township, Marquette County, Michigan for the purpose of Police Department Operations within the Township for a period of six (6) years from 2012 through 2017, both inclusive, thereby raising approximately $160,000.00 in its first year, based upon 2011 taxable value.
