Frank McCarthy (b. December 9, 1938) is a 2014 Republican candidate for Carroll 2 of the New Hampshire House of Representatives.

He is a former Republican member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Carroll 1 from 2010 to 2012.

McCarthy is a retired major in the United States Marine Corps.

Elections for the office of New Hampshire House of Representatives will take place in 2014. A primary election took place September 9, 2014. The general election will be held on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 13, 2014. Incumbent Syndi White and incumbent Tom Buco were unopposed in the Democratic primary, while James LeFebvre, Frank McCarthy and Karen Umberger were unopposed in the Republican primary. Mark Hounsell is running as an Independent candidate. White, Buco, LeFebvre, McCarthy, Umberger and Hounsell will face off in the general election.[1]

McCarthy ran for election in the 2012 election for New Hampshire House of Representatives, Carroll 2. McCarthy advanced past the September 11 primary and was defeated in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
