The city of Fremont, California held elections for city council on November 4, 2014. The candidate filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was August 8, 2014.[1][2]

Two at-large council seats were up for election. The only incumbent in this race was Raj Salwan, who was appointed to the council in January 2013. A total of nine candidates filed for election.[3]

Downtown revitalization, the "Innovation Hub" in the Warm Spring area and small business development were some of the key issues that shaped the Fremont 2014 election cycle.[4]
