The city of Fremont, California will hold elections for city council on November 4, 2014. The candidate filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was August 8, 2014.[1][2]

Two at-large council seats are up for election. The only incumbent running in this race is Raj Salwan, who was appointed to the council in January 2013. A total of nine candidates filed for election.[3]

Downtown revitalization, the "Innovation Hub" in the Warm Spring area and small business development are some of the key issues shaping the Fremont 2014 election cycle.[4]
