GOP voter registration chief arrested for fraud in California

Head of GOP voter registration group arrested for allegedly lying about his address. Mark Anthony Jacoby, whose company was hired by the California Republican Party, allegedly registered to vote using the address of his childhood home in Los Angeles, despite no longer living there. He is charged with felonies that could be punishable by up to three years in prison.
California GOP accuses state attorney general of playing politics
The California Republican Party accused the state's attorney general, Debra Bowen, of using the charges to deflect attention from allegations of voter fraud leveled against the ACORN voter registration group. Bowen has received donations from ACORN, and Republicans allege that Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama has ties to the group.
