A Garfield Town Excess Property Tax Levy proposition is on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Whitman County, which is in Washington.

If approved, this proposition authorizes the Town of Garfield to impose an additional property tax levy of $57,000 in order to fund maintenance, repair and improvements of town streets. The Town Council of the Town of Garfield adopted Resolution 2012-09, concerning a proposition to finance street maintenance and repair and street improvements for the Town of Garfield. This proposition would authorize the Town to collect an excess property tax levy upon all taxable property within the town in the amount of $57,000. an estimated $2.64 per $1,000.00 of assessed value in the year 2012, for collection in 2013?[1][2]
