Donald Trump, because I feel he is fighting to make America a great country for all of its citizens.

To do only what the people who elected him voted for.

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

I have a lot of business knowledge that could prove useful in making decisions.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

I make strong decisions for the people I represent unlike Thom Tillis who can be easily pressured into “flip-flopping”

What legacy would you like to leave?

That I was a strong leader for the people of North Carolina who supported his citizens and helped the president they voted for as well.

When I was about 10 hearing my folks talk about politics at the dinner table.

Working for my family furniture company for 3 years before going to college.

Christmas, because it marks the birth of our lord and savior Jesus Christ.

What is your favorite book? Why?

The Wizard of Oz, for the complete child-like wonder it creates, it was truly ahead of its time.

Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird

What is your favorite thing in your home or apartment? Why?

My cross over my bed-frame, it comforts me to know the lord is watching over me at all times.

What was the last song that got stuck in your head?

American Pie

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

Managing my work and family life to support both.

What do you perceive to be the United States’ greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?

Coming to a compromise of immigration. What is going on at the US-Mexican border is insane and must be fixed.

What qualities does the U.S. Senate possess that makes it unique as an institution?

The fact that the people in the Senate were voted in and represent they’re voters, its the very foundation of our democracy.

Do you believe that it’s beneficial for senators to have previous experience in government or politics?

No not always, sometimes it takes someone who has a different view than a politician like a businessman such as myself. Just look at our President.

What do you think of the filibuster?

It’s a bad practice by politicians to stop progress from happening in the government.

What criteria would you apply when deciding whether to confirm presidential appointees?

If they support the Trump Administration and are conservatives.

Do you believe it’s beneficial to build relationships with other senators?

Yes it’s always nice to know who shares your opinions in the Senate.

Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs

No I would not be interested in joining the leadership.

Is there a particular senator, past or present, whom you want to model yourself after?

Senator Lindsey Graham, he’s a good man and a good conservative.
