Gary Gilbert (b. July 26, 1945) is a former Democratic member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing Franklin-1 from 2007 to 2013.

Gilbert was a coach of basketball/baseball/soccer at Bellows Free Academy for the Town of Fairfax School District from 1970 to 2006. He also worked as a teacher/curriculum coordinator/assistant principal for the Town of Fairfax School District during this time.

Gilbert earned his BSEd from Johnson State College. He went on to receive his MAT from the University of Vermont. He then received his MEd from Johnson State College.

Gilbert won re-election to the Franklin 1 District in 2010. He ran against Steve Schlipf (D), Carolyn Whitney Branagan (R), and Chris Santee (R) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[3]
