Gary S. Cash was the chief district court judge for the 28th Judicial District, serving Buncombe County of North Carolina. He was elected to the court in 1986 and was made chief district court judge in December 2002. Cash retired from the bench in December 2010.[1] He currently practices law with his firm of Fisher, Stark, Cash P.A. in Asheville, North Carolina.[2]


Cash received his undergraduate degree from Davidson College in 1971 and his J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law in 1976.[1]
