Gibralter School District Revenue Cap Override (November 2010)
This measure was approved
- YES 2,328
- NO 1,319
This measure sought voter approval of the revenue cap override that would be valid in the district for a further two years. The school district asks for this override every two years because it receives little funding from the state and this is the main source for the funding of school programs and services. The override generates around $2.875 above the set state limit. The district had also been stressing that this was the same increase amount as had been approved before by voters and hope to ensure the same amount of support as given in previous elections. Since the measure was approved, local property tax rates will only increased about $1 on average.
