Glenford Shibley (b. March 18, 1951) is a former Republican member of the Rhode Island State Senate.

Shibley is retired, and served as Assistant Director of the Rhode Island Municipal Police Training Academy.

He attended Wachusett Regional High School and received his B.A. from the University of Rhode Island in 1973. He earned his M.A. from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 1975.

Shibley ran for re-election in District 33. He was unopposed in the Republican primary on September 11. Leonidas Raptakis won in the Democratic primary. Raptakis defeated Shibley in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1]
