Gloria Dittman was a 2011 Republican candidate for District 18 of the New Jersey State Senate.

Dittman is the President and CEO of the Edison Chamber of Commerce.

Dittman was defeated in the 2011 election for New Jersey Senate District 18. She ran unopposed in the primary on June 7, 2011. Dittman was defeated by Democratic incumbent Barbara Buono in the general election which took place on November 8, 2011.[1]

District 18 ranks ninth in fundraising

As of October 25, candidates for District 18 have raised $1,148,826--according to the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission. This makes District 18 number nine in fundraising for the 2011 election season. Candidates for the district have spent $809,782 of their campaign funds.[2]

On her website, Dittman lists these issues as her platform:[3]

  • Jobs - eliminate all fees and obstacles on small businesses.
  • Taxes - no new taxes so that all New Jersey citizens can afford to live in the state.
  • Support for veterans - re-evaluate all programs and direct more support to veterans and their families so they can transition to civilian life.
