The question on the ballot:
|Shall the expired previously voted increase in the property tax limitations imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution for Grand Haven Charter Township, Ottawa County, Michigan, for all purposes in any one year, be renewed for six (6) years, 2013 through 2018, inclusive, in the amount of .25 mill ($0.25 per thousand dollars of taxable valuation) for all property in the Township, for the purpose of providing funds to be paid to the Tri-Cities Historical Society pursuant to a contract between the Historical Society and Grand Haven Charter Township for the operation, repair, maintenance, and improvement of the Tri-Cities Museum (located at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Second Street in the City of Grand Haven); and shall the Township be authorized to levy the tax? The estimate of the revenue the Township will collect if the millage is approved and levied in its entirety in the 2013 calendar year is approximately $162,297.|
