Grant Gilbertson (b. December 11, 1991) was a Independent candidate for District 48 of the Wisconsin State Assembly. The primary election was on September 14, 2010, and the general election was on November 2, 2010.[1]

Gilbertson was a Freshman student at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.[2][3]

Gilbertson ran in the 2010 election for Wisconsin State Assembly District 48. Gilbertson was defeated by Democratic incumbent Joseph Parisi in the general election on November 2, 2010.[4][5]

Campaign themes

Gilbert says in an interview with the Wisconsin State Journal that his top priority is to restore voting rights to felons that are on parole and probation in Wisconsin. He also believes that incentives and monetary benefits for small business will improve the state economy. He believes that it is important to repeal "the ban on same-sex marriage."[6]
