The question on the ballot:
|Shall the limitation on the taxes which may be levied under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution, against all property in Green Oak Charter Township, Livingston County, Michigan, be increased by up to 2.38 mills (an ad valorem tax of $2.38 per thousand dollars of taxable value) for four (4) years for the period December 2011 through December 2014 inclusive, replacing the current 1.4948 mill levy that expires in December 2011, for the purpose of funding the general operation, capital equipment and vehicles for the Green Oak Charter Township Police Department which the new millage, if approved and levied, will raise in the first year of levy an estimated $1,967,383.00?|
