Gregg C. Sayre serves on the New York Public Service Commission. He was appointed to the public service commission on June 21, 2012 and began his term on July 9, 2012.[1]


Prior to his appointment to the NYPSC, Sayre served as Associate General Counsel of Frontier Communications Corporation. He had worked for Frontier's legal department since 1987. Prior to that he was a regulatory attorney for The Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Companies and an attorney with the Law Bureau of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.[2]

Sayre has served as a member of the New York Public Service Commission since July 9, 2012.



Sayre was appointed to the New York Public Service Commission by Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) on June 21, 2012.[1] Sayre stated, “I am eager to work collaboratively with all stakeholders in industries doing business before the Commission to achieve fair and equitable solutions. I look forward to working with my fellow Commissioners and the staff of the New York State Public Service Commission as we address those critical public policy issues that will affect the future of our state.”[2]
