The question on the ballot:

Shall a portion of the previous voted increase in the constitutional limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property within the school district of Harbor Springs Public Schools, Emmet County, Michigan, be renewed in the amount of 0.54 mills ($.54 per $1,000 of taxable valuation) to continue a sinking fund to be used for the purchase of real estate for sites for, and the construction or repair of, school buildings and other purposes authorized by law, for a period of five (5) years, 2012 through 2016, inclusive (estimated to provide revenues of approximately $539,750 in 2012) (this is a renewal of a portion of the previous voted authorization of 0.66 mills which expired with the 2011 tax levy)?[3]
