Edit review process

If you are regularly working on articles in a project, it is to your advantage to place a user badge on your user page. This gives you two advantages:

  1. It makes it very easy for you to get to the project page, which houses resources for that particular project.
  2. It makes it easy for you and other users to identify who else is working on articles you are working on. This fosters the ability for editors to collaborate with one another.

You certainly do not have to add user badges to your user page, but, if you do, it makes it much easier for you to find the set or sets of pages that you expect to be working with frequently.

Adding user badges

To install a user badge:

  • Open the edit box on your user page
  • Insert the name of the user badge template that you found on the project page.
To add a template to a page, enclose the name of the template inside of curly brackets ({{TEMPLATENAME}}).

For example, {{LBM Writer}} will produce this project badge:

Formatting user badges

To make a badge appear on the right side of your user page, insert the following code:

<table style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; width: 242px; border: #99B3FF solid 1px">

Notice the bolded template name; this is where you should place the name of your chosen user badge.

To add more than one user badge, and stack them neatly atop one another, simply add another line like this <tr><td>{{USERBADGE}}</td></tr> before the </table> command.

Finding user badges

One way to find user badges is to investigate each project individually. To find all of the current projects on Ballotpedia, you can go to the project directory. Most projects list their user badge on the main project page.

Another way to locate user badges is to visit the Category:WikiProject user templates, where all user badges are listed.
