Hawaii, Connecticut, Michigan, Alaska and Wisconsin had the largest increase in state average electricity prices from 2002 to 2013. Hawaii saw the largest increase, 21.39 cents per kilowatt, while the other four top states had an average increase of 6.18 cents per kilowatt in electricity prices. North Carolina, Washington, Louisiana, Arkansas, Indiana and Maine had the smallest increase in state average electricity prices. These states saw an average increase of 2.13 cents per kilowatt in their electricity prices from 2002 to 2013.
