Holland, Port Sheldon & Tallmadge Township Police and Fire Renewals, 3 (August 2010)

Three Township Police and Fire Renewal measures were on the August 3, 2010 ballot in the townships of Holland, Port Sheldon and Tallmadge which are in Ottawa County.

All three measures were approved

The Holland measure sought to renew the current police levy of $1 per $1,000 of assessed property for a further four years in order to provide funds for the operation of police and emergency services in the township.

The Port Sheldon measure sought to renew the current fire levy of $.35 per $1,000 of assessed property for a further ten years in order to provide funds for the maintenance and operational costs of the fire department in the township.

The Tallmadge measure sought to renew the current police and fire levy of $.70 per $1,000 of assessed property for a further three years in order to pay funds for fire and police services as well as medical services in the township.[1]
