Idaho Falls School District Bond Measure (May 2010)
This measure was defeated because it did not reach the 66% super majority needed.
- YES' 5,638 (62.51%)
- NO 3,381 (37.49%)
This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $57.5 million in order to make the schools safer, upgrade technology and add science labs to their secondary schools. A higher amount was defeated in the November 2009 vote, so the school district was trying again with a smaller amount. Due to the economic environment, the school district decided against their more ambitious plan and will wait for the second phase of school remodeling.
