There was a Idaho Falls School District Bond Measure on the May 18 ballot in Bonneville County for voters in the Idaho Falls school district.

This measure was defeated because it did not reach the 66% super majority needed.

  • YES' 5,638 (62.51%)
  • NO 3,381 (37.49%)Defeatedd[1]

This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $57.5 million in order to make the schools safer, upgrade technology and add science labs to their secondary schools. A higher amount was defeated in the November 2009 vote, so the school district was trying again with a smaller amount. Due to the economic environment, the school district decided against their more ambitious plan and will wait for the second phase of school remodeling.[2]
