Illinois Society of Association Executives

Illinois Society of Association Executives is a government sector lobbying association in Illinois. The mission of ISAE is to advocate for the association community and be the primary professional development resource to association executives.[1] It is therefore a government sector lobbying association that works to give education and resources to other government sector lobbying associations. The association has over 400 members.[2]

The Illinois Society of Association Executives has a registered lobbyist with the Illinois Secretary of State.[3] Local governments, like Jo Daviess County, pay membership dues to the association.

Membership

There are more than 400 association executives who are members of the Illinois Society of Association Executives.[1] Members can be "Regular Members" if they are chief executive officers or staff members employed in the management of a trade, professional, technical, educational, philanthropic or similar type of voluntary membership organization.[7] Convention and visitors bureau executive directors with one or more of their staff as current associate members are also eligible. "Associate Members" are businesses or facilities that sell commodities or services to an association, such as hotels, motels, restaurants or corporate hotel chains; convention and visitors bureaus; and other purveyors of goods and services.[7]

Services

The Association works to help association members network and share ideas through conferences and monthly membership meetings.[7] It also provides educational programs and professional development for members. This is through CEO and staff roundtables, educational seminars and a professional resource library.[7]
