Position on open records enforcement

Alan Kemp, executive director of the Iowa League of Cities, said that the League opposed the creation of a proposed new state-level board that would put enforcement teeth into Iowa's open records laws.[4]

The bill Kemp's organization opposed was sponsored by Iowa State Senator Mike Connolly, a Democrat from Dubuque.
