J. Bradley Burzynski was a Republican member of the Illinois State Senate. He represented District 35 from 1993 to 2011 and was an Assistant Minority Leader. Burzynski was re-elected in November of 2008 with his term expiring in 2013. He retired on February 14, 2011[1] in order to spend time with his family. He stated, "It was all about timing for me. It was time to move on. My wife and I had two more grandchildren--giving us now five--so we want to watch our grandkids grow up.”[2]

Burzynski also served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1990 to 1993. Before becoming an elected official, Burzynski worked with the Illinois Farm Bureau as its Government Affairs Director.

Burzynski graduated with an Associate's Degree from Rend Lake Community College and a Bachelor's Degree from Illinois Wesleyan.
